The origin of SheaNetics was very organic with both its physical and mental components developing simultaneously. SheaNetics was inspired by the enthusiasm of Shea’s students coupled with her own life experiences and today presents itself as an eastern-influenced western-lifestyle wellness and exercise practice. Shea’s journey began one day while teaching class when she started to add certain poses and movements to the routine from other exercise forms that just seemed to naturally present themselves and improve the overall flow and diversity of her usual choreography. The feedback from her students was instant and positive. She realized she had tapped into something really exciting and continued on that path.
The 5 Living Principles of Well-Being, the driving force behind SheaNetics’ transformational power, are the result of Shea’s personal life lessons, decades of training in many disciplines and influenced by eastern philosophy through her experience studying martial arts. It was through this influence in her own life that she found herself regularly talking to her class about being committed, having perseverance, finding balance and extending this thinking to all you do in the rest of your life and creating the breakthroughs that open the door to lasting life-healthy changes. Shea found an easy synergy of motion and thought between these physical and mental elements. She knew it was important to share how together they provide the practical tools to bring wellness into all you do and help you to create your personal state of well-being.
