SheaNetics® History
The origin of SheaNetics® was very organic with both its physical and mental components developing simultaneously. Inspired by the enthusiasm of Shea’s students coupled with her own life experiences, SheaNetics® combines wellness and exercise to present itself as an eastern-influenced western-lifestyle practice. The genesis of SheaNetics® was Shea’s vision to capture the benefits of both mind-body and group exercise. She added poses, movements, power exercises and rhythm changes to her classes that enhanced the flow and diversity of her well-crafted choreography. Encouraged by the positive feedback from her students, Shea realized she had tapped into something new and exciting. The exercise portion of the SheaNetics® program now combines yoga, pilates, tai chi, martial arts, ballet, Tri-Core Power Training and more, to build maximum strength, flexibility and your “killer” core.
The internal transformation that SheaNetics® provides is based on Shea’s 5 Living Principles of Well-Being: Commitment, Perseverance, Self-Control, Integrity and Love. These principles are the result of Shea’s personal life lessons, decades of training in many disciplines and influenced by her study of eastern philosophy. As a result of these life experiences Shea encouraged her students to be committed, never give up, find balance and embrace this new thinking in their everyday life.
Shea knew it was important to share how these physical and mental elements together provide the practical tools to bring wellness into all you do and help you to create your personal state of well-being.
